Pottery Wheel Throwing | Taster

Service Description

The 2-hr taster course is designed for beginners to try pottery throwing on the wheel for the first time. During the course you will learn how to centre, open, and lift the walls of the clay. You will also be shown how to work with various tools to finish your pots. At the end of the class, you should have one completed piece of work, though it is typical to have created more. Your pots will be fired and you will have the option to book back in using the service-Glaze and decorate your Pots to finish them them. Final product pickup is usually within two months, varying on conditions. Arrangements will be made via email. Class size is limited to 6 people, each with a dedicated potters' wheel. The workshop is for adults or mature teenagers accompanied by a participating guardian. Price includes all materials, and first firing. We do provide aprons but you are welcome to bring your own. Please wear appropriate clothing and remove any hand/wrist jewelry as it is messy. Please bring your own refreshments.
